Sister Lumped Up Over Fast Food
LAND O’ LAKES, FLORIDA – A Floridian was not lovin’ it last night when his sister brought home dinner from McDonald’s instead of a Chinese takeout joint, according to police who arrested the man for battering his sibling.
As detailed in a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office report, Luciano Vasquez-Marte, an unemployed 23-year-old, became upset when his sister Luisanna, 21, “went to McDonald’s to get him dinner, and he wanted Chinese food.”
Luisanna told cops that her brother got in her face and began “yelling and screaming” at her in their Land O’ Lakes home.
Feeling threatened, she pushed him away.
Luciano then allegedly “pushed her onto the couch, and then began using his fists to punch her several times in the head.”
A sheriff’s deputy reported that Luisanna had several bumps on her head.
Despite her “obvious injuries,” Luisanna declined an offer of medical attention, investigators noted.
During questioning, cops reported, Luciano explained that his sister “brought him home McDonald’s when she knows Luciano likes the local Chinese menus.”
He added that his sibling “was very disrespectful and began yelling at him about liking what he got.”
Seen in the above mug shot, Vasquez-Marte was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and booked into the county jail.
He was released late yesterday afternoon.
In June it was reported that a teen from Washington, D.C. was fatally stabbed by an uninvited guest at a family cookout over the last piece of chicken:
WASHINGTON, DC - Police have arrested the man they say stabbed a 17-year-old boy to death Wednesday night.
Antonio Shaw, 25, was arrested and charged with second degree murder Thursday.
Family members say Ernest Hart was stabbed during a cookout in the 4600 block of Hillside Road SE just before 9 p.m. Wednesday.
“My brother died on my lap, and I couldn’t do nothing about it,” said his sister Patricia Hart.
He was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Hart’s family told NBC4′s Pat Collins Shaw stabbed Hart in the neck after getting into an argument with him over a piece of chicken.
“All of us turned around and all we saw was blood just dripping from my little brother, and he fell to the ground,” said his brother Steven Hart.
Octavais Brown, who was at the scene, said medics took a long time to arrive.
“It felt like forever,” she said. “I wasn’t counting minutes. I was holding his pulse.”
She added, “I knew he was gone when they got here.”
According to D.C. Fire, emergency vehicles were dispatched at 9:17 p.m.
A fire truck without a medic on board arrived at 9:23 p.m.
A basic ambulance with medical technicians arrived at 9:28 p.m.
An advanced life-support vehicle with paramedics arrived at 9:30 p.m. Hart was transported from the scene in the advanced life-support vehicle at 9:41 p.m.
Hart’s sister tended to him while they waited for help.
“His last words to me were, ‘Tricia don’t let me die,’” she said. “I applied pressure to the wound on my brother. I just didn’t want him to die right then, and he did.”
The suspect is an acquaintance of the family.
“He used to come over to my house all the time,” said the victim’s father, Ernest Hart Sr.
In March a man from South Carolina choked a wheelchair-bound woman over the last piece of chicken:
3/8/2013 – Clifford Smith is facing charges of simple assault and vandalism after he reportedly choked a wheelchair-bound woman for eating the last piece of chicken at a dinner gathering, reports WAFB 9.
According to a police report, Smith, 44, and some other people sat down for dinner on Sunday evening.
When there was only one piece of chicken left, an unidentified woman, who is physically disabled, reached for the piece and began eating it.
Smith had his eye on the last piece of chicken and became enraged when he saw the woman grabbing for it.
Smith then yelled that he had wanted the chicken and allegedly lost control of his emotions at the dinner table.
Investigators state that Smith first struck the woman.
He then picked up a beer bottle and smashed it against a wall.
Diners couldn’t believe what they were witnessing. The Pacolet, S. C., man then took his hands, placed them around the woman’s neck and proceeded to choke her as she defenselessly sat in her wheelchair.
As the victim scrambled to dial 911 with her cell phone, Smith reportedly snatched it from her and smashed it into pieces.
Police were summoned by witnesses and Smith was placed under arrest.
