According to her website JadeNovah.com Jade’s fairy tale begins in the town of Cleveland, Ohio. Born Lindsay Fields, a singer, songwriter and actress was given the title Jade Novah to embrace her dual personas. While Jade, embodying femininity, positivity and love, represents her lyrics and vocals, Novah – defined as an exploding star – represents her theatrical and at times, comical side. Jade’s captivating voice, natural knack for acting and hilarious impersonations, and with her clever writing skills easily capturing the hearts of many.

Coming from a musical family, Novah grew up with an eclectic choice of music around her. Her father exposed her to the wide range of music – the likes of the Beatles, Aerosmith, and Queen, balanced out with greats like Prince and The Jacksons. Jade also shares her mother’s love of the theater, Disney classics, and musicals, admiring entertainers such as Barbara Streisand and Julie Andrews. As young Jade grew older, she began listening to the popular music of the 90s, citing Destiny’s Child, Brandy, Toni Braxton, and Whitney Houston as a few of her other influences. It is this mix of tastes that allows Novah to effortlessly infuse her music with diverse influence, and make others take notice.

Also among these influences is industry legend Missy Elliott, whom Jade Novah met in 2003. Elliott recognized the talent in Novah and invited her to sing background vocals on her 2003 album This Is Not a Test.

In 2005, Jade formed the writing team PenUp Dolls along with friend Nia Myricks. With Novah as the voice for most of their references, the PenUp Dolls became a force to be reckoned with, writing songs for Mya, Christina Milian, Melanie Fiona, Iyaz, and more.

Jade’s tale does not end there! In 2011 she toured with Tyler Perry in his production of “Madea’s Big Happy Family” as both a background vocalist and understudy. She went on to provide vocals for two more of Mr. Perry’s plays, “Laugh to Keep from Crying” and “The Haves and Have Nots.”

After signing a publishing deal with Rondor/Universal Music Publishing, Jade Novah set out on an adventure to the town of Atlanta, GA to begin her solo career. In 2012, Jade teamed up with producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Devin Johnson, to begin working on her debut album entitled, “In Search of Me.” This album will feature a unique fusion of musical theater and R&B, creating an experience described as “visuals through sound.”

To compliment her success, in 2012, Novah caught the eyes of Rolling Stone editors when her YouTube rendition of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” reached more than 11 million. The publication graded her performance and presentation an A+ and had this to say: “…a singer with vocal chops that give Ri-Ri a run for her money, and with enough of her own bright-eyed personality to come across like an artist in her own right.” Additionally, she napped a top five spot on Ryan Seacrest’s list of favorite new covers of Christmas classics.

Before you close this book, Jade has but only three wishes: to bring you laughter through her characters, to enchant you with her voice and to inspire you through her lyrics. If you allow her to work her magic, you will be spellbound. Just lend your ears, open your eyes, and with one flick of her wand, you’ll see the star that is Jade Novah!

The End? Not a chance…you see the REAL fairy tale has just begun.
